Wonderful

Clean, fantastic buffet, tucked away in a quiet, upmarket part of Puerto de la Cruz, beds comfortable

The pillows were harder than we are used to, also they are made of a vinyl type material which makes it warm, for us they were uncomfortable

Very Good

The surrounding is really quiet (except the construction site at the moment) and beautiful. The botanical garden looks awesome. The staff is really friendly. Sitting outside for breakfast in the beautiful garden is awesome. The pool is big enough and quiet deep. The breakfast was good but nothing special. The management was present and they welcomed guests.

The hotel itself is quiet old. The carpets in the doorway smell like plastic. The green carpet at the pool and at the balcony also smell like plastic (fake green grass carpet). The room smelled a bit old, especially the bed. If you want to visit the city, you have to walk down and up a lot of stairs: approximately 15-20 minutes each direction. For us it was perfect having a walk after having dinner.

We liked everything

A very quiet and clean hotel, outside the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. The hotel is surrounded by trees and plants and the peaceful environment invites you to hang out and relax. Also the staff, from kitchen personnel to pool boy, receptionist and cleaning staff was very friendly and we felt welcome. Definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed so far.

Great service from a family run independent hotel in a beautiful, peaceful location

Staff are friendly, helpful and professional, they always appear to have time for you and for answering any questions. Everyone we dealt with from reception, to cleaning, to waiters and management all seemed to be focused on pleasing the customer not just their bosses. The building is well designed and decorated inside, and set in its own gorgeous, extensive tropical gardens. Despite giving the sensation that you’re miles away from the hustle and bustle of the town visible below, the walk down is quite short (though steep!). Breakfasts are excellent and staff were happy to offer me oat milk for my coffee. We had dinner twice at the waiter service restaurant (there’s a separate buffet for those on half board) and we both agreed that the food was better than any of the places we ate at in town.

The restaurant and its accompanying bar area were clearly understaffed and you could wait ages for a cocktail or a request for a table - or even the bill. The separate bar behind reception wasn’t staffed at all for the 5 days we were there - drinks had to be brought up from the restaurant bar which defeated the point of it.

Best Hotel!

Everything. Situation up above the town set in its own beautiful gardens and with on site parking. Large room with air conditioning. Flexible meal times with a good choice of food. Knowledgeable reception staff who spoke excellent English. Ease with which we could access good roads leading us to the main walking areas.

One of our Best Hotel Stays!!

Everything from the very warm welcome by the staff who were very soft spoken and guided us very nicely, to the amazingly clean rooms and very ample in size, the bathroom was super clean and quite big too and we loved the superb breakfast spread and the whole staff was so welcoming and nice there too. The swimming pool is amazing too and the gardens are so well maintained. They even got us a nice Berries juice by the poolside. The property is really very very well maintained. It shows the owners run it very nicely and take care of their staff as well as their guests very well!! I will recommend this hotel to all and will surely return again!! The location is very prime too, in the middle of nature, There is ample parking available just 2 mins away from the hotel and if there isn't, you can park inside the hotel's Gated Parking for 7€ a day. Our 2 year old Daughter was so sad because she didn't want to leave the Hotel and Go back home, they made her feel so special there!!

There was nothing that we didn't like!! Everything was so likeable!!

A very welcoming hotel, most comfortable room and a super nice staff. Great balcony with a beautiful view of the sea and the island. Great breaze

The hotel is located a few meters above sea level. Every walk towards the sea or downtown and back was sweaty, and there isn't much to do just close to the hotel. This is obviously got nothing to do with the hotel itself, which as i wrote was excellent.

Very Good

Hotel Tigaiga is surrounded by beautiful garden. Very helpful and friendly staff. View from balcony is amazing.The swimming pool has lovely warm water , comfortable sun lounges.

Evening entertainments were for hotel’s elderly guests. Meals in the a la carte restaurant tasted almost the same - I would suggest to use more herbs and spices.

Everything. The gardens are seriously special, it’s a very comfortable family run 4 star hotel and the staff are very engaging. It’s the best place we’ve found in Puerto de la Cruz - including the Botanico which is about 4 times more expensive.

Very well maintained vegetation and grass. Nice place next to a big park. High level of cleanliness.

There were 17 electrical outlets in the room. However, there was no fridge or kettle or coffee maker or microwave or any other utility other than a TV and hair dryer. Good coffee (not from breakfast) is not offered. Extreme restrictions for smokers. Smoking areas are fixed away from the hotel. The reception staff is nice. The breakfast staff seem bored and not so friendly. One of them was singing tunes very loudly.

Excellent hotel

The hotel is well licated, next to a park/garden that you have to cross and take the stairs down to the center, about 10-15 min walk. The staff is really nice, helpful and polite, providing all the necessary information. The room is big, clean, providing all the necessary amenities and the breakfast is really good.
