Our New Favourite Hotel.

This is our new favourite hotel. It is excellent in every aspect - beautiful setting / gardens; quiet, peaceful and and spotlessly clean. Staff were attentive and helpful and the food was superb. We booked half board - wide range on offer for breakfast, and high quality set menu in the evening (though many other choices were available on a help yourself basis in addition to or instead of the set menu)

Beautiful relaxed and enjoyable place to stay

Breakfast was excellent, the views from our room were lovely, the room very comfortable, the pool most attractive and a good size. The staff were charming, friendly and very helpful, especially the reception staff, thank you.

Lovely hotel with a great breakfast but a little far out

Staff were super friendly and the breakfast was amazing. The choice of food available was brilliant and it was lovely to be able to sit outside amongst the palms to enjoy it when the weather allowed. It was a celebration for us and we were given a fruit basket and fizzy which was a wonderful surprise with a large room with a bath on the top floor. The pool area was very pleasant and quiet and had a great view of the volcano covered in snow. Plenty of sun beds and attentive staff. The gardens were amazing and well looked after.

The room was facing onto a vast building project so was noisy and looks to be ongoing work for a long while. Parking was a problem with carnival week - the public car parks were full. Our bathroom on the top floor didn’t have a blind so was a bit concerning with the building work and workers! Also the hotel has limited bars and restaurants nearby - each evening we walked down the hill and back up which was a bit exhausting after a long day from hiking in the hills but not the hotels fault! I wouldn’t let this put you off though.

Very restful, peaceful stay with good food and attentive staff.

I liked the table service at dinner, and the quiet area around the pool.

A fridge in our room would have been good, and tea making facilities, without having to ask for this at reception would have been nice.

Wonderful week

Superb family run hotel. Everything spotless. Beautiful pool area and surrounding gardens. Extremely friendly staff. A 15 minute walk into town but a 25 minute back because of the hilly terrain. Superb food. We were half board.

No tea or coffee in the rooms.

Excellent service and friendly staff that make you feel truly welcome. Located in a gorgeous green area away from the hassle of the city. The hotel garden was beautiful and fascinating, pool area tidy and cozy, and the food at breakfast as well as in the restaurant delicious.

Stunningly beautiful hotel in lush garden

Stunning location in the middle of a beautiful garden with great views of the city, the mountains and the sea. Everything is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and staff very service-oriented. The German owners seem to very environmentally focused, which is wonderful. The restaurant food is equally very good and good value for money.

The sauna only operates upon prior request (and payment) and unless required for medicine, guests have a to pay extra to get a fridge in the room to save electricity / reduce the environmental impact - both seems sensible to me. However, the fact that one also has to pay EUR 3/night for a tea kettle (without tea bags) on the room seemed a little stingy for a hotel of this price range and difficult to justify with environmental protection. While most of the staff were incredibly friendly, we had a hard time trying to find out which buffet cheeses were pasteurised (and hence suitable for pregnant women!) and the kitchen staff were initially rather stand off ish when asked, until the head waiter finally came to our rescue.

Delighted again!

Always a delight. We love this comfortable, old school hotel. Rooms, pool, restaurant, bar all excellent. Views of ocean and mountains divine. But it's the courteous, efficient and friendly staff, who do their utmost for guests, who make this place so inviting. AND the truly magnificent gardens. Try to register for a tour if possible. The whole hotel is an absolute credit to the hard working owner family. Thank you.

Wonderful stay, would go again!

Breakfast was very good, the stuff super friendly and just a very welcoming atmosphere.

Only thing we missed would've been a fridge in the room. There is space for it in the little cupboard.

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The location and views are stunning, complemented by beautiful gardens. The staff was attentive and always available to assist us. The presence of the manager ensured that everything ran smoothly, and the staff appeared to genuinely enjoy their work environment. Overall, the atmosphere was delightful, making our experience truly memorable. I find this hotel to be excellent, not only for its facilities and services, but also for its exceptional value for money. While you may find other places with more lavish amenities or services at a higher price point, the value offered here truly sets it apart. I appreciate the effort put forth by the staff to deliver such outstanding value.

I have absolutely no complaints about my stay. I even received an email encouraging me to reach out to the staff if there was anything I needed or if I encountered any issues. It's hard to find fault when the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction.

Excellent staff and building/rooms. Let down by evening meals and pool temperature.

Beautiful building and good rooms and grounds. Breakfast good.

Evening meal a la carte was disappointing. Dishes mediocre in preparation lacking flavour and quality. Pool said heated but o my a little. Still cold.

We really enjoyed this hotel

Staff are all happy to be there. It’s clean with good views, only a 15 minute walk into town.

Well, they put up barriers to the check-in driveway every evening and this causes a parking problem … probably should stop with the barriers.

Wonderful hotel in lovely gardens.

Beautiful gardens, friendly staff, lovely balcony facing the mountain so sun from noon on. Breakfast was amazing, and a huge choice to suit everyone. Lovely sunbathing areas around the pool or in the shadier gardens. Try the hotel restaurant food, it was the best we had in the area. Altogether, a fantastic hotel. Go!

Bit of a walk down to the town, but nothing too difficult if you are relatively fit.

Exceptional

We received an upgrade to a bigger room and it was fabulos, with a very nice view and very clean. The hotel is located in a quiet area, near a park. The city center is just 15 minutes walk. They have a private parking but if it's full there is a free parking nearby. I absolutely recommend this hotel, it has all: calm atmosphere, green surroundings (a beautiful garden) and really nice views.
